How the resource shop works
The resource catalogue is being prepared. Checkout is inactive and no payments are being taken.
1. Find your subject and level
Browse English or Maths at Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3, Level 1 or Level 2. Past papers and practice materials are separate resource types. If no results appear, no matching verified resources are currently published.
2. Check what is included
Before buying, check the contents list, number of items, actual file formats and sizes, answers or solutions, price and resource-origin label. A free preview is only a limited sample, not the full paid pack. Original practice material is not an official past paper.
3. Purchase and download — when the shop opens
Purchases will open only after real files, commercial rights, prices, payment processing and protected delivery have been checked. Eligible download access will be provided after successful payment through the order confirmation or customer account. Download limits, expiry and refund terms must be published before sales begin.
Three separate actions
- Resource purchase: a downloadable study resource only.
- Course enrolment: separate structured learning, where an actual course is available.
- Exam registration: a separate booking with the examination provider.
Buying a resource does not enrol you on a course or register you for an examination. Preparation resources do not guarantee an examination result.

Plan your next step in Functional Skills
Maths and English qualifications can support different goals. The right route depends on your circumstances and the requirements of the organisation you are working with.
Routes toward work
A qualification may help you build skills for work or a change of role. Ask the employer what they accept for the specific opportunity.
University or further study
Some study routes ask for evidence of English or Maths. Check the exact course entry requirements with admissions before choosing a qualification.
Apprenticeships
Requirements vary by apprenticeship and training provider; do not assume one level applies to every place. Confirm what is needed directly with the provider.
Prepare in practical steps
Confirm your goal
Ask the employer, admissions team or training provider which qualification and level they will accept before you commit.
Choose subject and level
Choose Maths or English and check which of the five levels fits your goal: Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3, Level 1 or Level 2. Resource availability is shown separately in the catalogue.
Practise and review
Work through suitable learning materials, then revisit mistakes to understand what to practise next. Explore resources.
Check exam arrangements separately
Resource purchases, course enrolment and exam registration are separate actions. Confirm exam arrangements and registration directly with an exam provider; buying a resource does not register you for an exam.
Practical questions
Will a Functional Skills qualification be accepted?
Acceptance depends on the employer, course or provider and its specific rules. Check the exact qualification, subject and level with them before making plans.
Where can I check exam arrangements?
Ask an exam provider directly about its current arrangements, eligibility, fees and registration process. View Private Exam Centre Functional Skills information.
Can I get help choosing a resource?
For help with resources, visit resource help or call 08007723464. Resource help is not course enrolment or exam registration.
Requirements and exam-provider arrangements can change and vary by organisation. Verify details with the relevant organisation before purchasing resources, enrolling on a course or registering for an exam.
